Key advantages of n-type modules include insensitivity to metallic impurities, a more efficient conversion of infrared light into electricity, and a lower initial degradation rate. Combined with high transmission glass, the result is a highly efficient, next-generation solar panel that delivers impressive performance.
Yingli PANDA was first realized through an in-house collaboration between the Energy Research Center of the Netherlands (ECN) and Amtech Systems, Inc., two of the world’s leaders in solar power technology. Today’s average cell efficiency on commercial production lines exceeds 19.8% with up to 17.2% module conversion efficiency.

DUAL POWER MAXIMISED YIELD
TwinMAX BIFACIAL modules generate power from the front as well as from the back side. Together with the cutting-edge PANDA n-type crystalline silicon solar cells, which wake up earlier than regular p-type and go to sleep later, the energy yield can be increased by 10-30%.
