Football for Hope. Energy for Hope.

FIFA's Football for Hope program provides hundreds of thousands of underprivileged young people in Africa access to Football for Hope centers that use the power of football to promote health, education, and general well-being. The movement is a catalyst for innovation and social investment in various sectors of society.

The 20 Centres campaign was launched as part of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. Its aim was to create 20 Football for Hope Centres to promote public health, education and football in disadvantaged communities across Africa.

As part of our global sponsorship of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa, we worked with FIFA to build 20 Football for Hope Centers across the African continent – from Mali to Mozambique. Here's a map of all the complete Football for Hope Centres:

Football for Hope Centres

Yingli Solar has provided state-of-the-art solar technology for the 20 Football for Hope Centres. Yingli wass involved right from the start in the planning of the Centers, analyzing requirements and providing and installing customizedinstalling customized PV system solutions. Our PV products will provide electricity for a broad range of uses at the Centers, from illuminating the football fields to powering air conditioners and computers.

• PV Power System

The Project which began in 2010 has now come to a successful completion: 20 Football For Hope Centres are now solar-powered by Yingli!
