La cellule PANDA de Yingli a d’abord été le fruit d’une collaboration interne entre le Centre de Recherche en Énergie des Pays-Bas (ECN) et Amtech Systems Inc, deux des leaders mondiaux de l’électricité photovoltaïque. Le rendement moyen actuel des cellules sur les lignes de production dépasse 19,8%, avec un rendement par module allant jusqu’à 17,2%.
