In 2010, we became the first renewable energy and the first Chinese company in history to sponsor the FIFA World Cup™. By joining a list of prestigious sponsors, we answered FIFA's call to make the world's most popular sport not only a celebration of the game, but also a sign of respect for the planet that we inhabit.

U.S. Soccer

Yingli Green Energy recently became the first Official Renewable Energy Partner of U.S. Soccer, including the U.S. Men’s, Women’s and Youth National Teams through 2014. As part of the comprehensive partnership, Yingli Solar will build its brand across the nation, and will also work with U.S. Soccer on a number of philanthropic initiatives that aim to provide solar energy for local athletic centers in disadvantaged communities.

At the beginning of 2011, we proudly announced that Yingli Solar had become an Official Premium Partner of FC Bayern München (“FCB”), one of the most successful and popular football clubs in the world. We will provide FCB with renewable energy expertise and will work together towards the common goal of creating a more sustainable future.

New York Jets

Yingli Solar is the Official Solar Energy Provider of the New York Jets. We established our partnership in 2010 and built a 690kWp solar power system at the team’s Atlantic Health Jets Training Center in Florham Park, New Jersey. This is the largest PV installation at a National Football League (NFL) team headquarters, utilizing over 3,000 Yingli Solar modules. Designed to generate over 750,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity for the building each year, the project reduces CO2 emissions by 540 metric tons each year, which is equivalent to taking over 100 cars off the road.
