Gullen Range Solar Farm

The Gullen Solar Farm was a ground-breaking project that attracted $9.9 million in Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) funding. Decmil and joint venture partner Balance Utility Solutions constructed the solar farm using over 42,000 Yingli PV modules. It was the first solar project in Australia to be co-located with a wind farm and the first in NSW to use 1500 VDC solar modules. The project leveraged the existing wind farm’s infrastructure, network connection agreements and stakeholder relationships to reduce the construction and operation costs.

System Size: 13.3 MW
